Law Week 2021 - Maintaining trust in Victoria's integrity system

Law Week provides Victorians with access to vital information about their legal rights and responsibilities.

The police force and public sector work hard to support the Victorian community. However mistakes, misconduct and corruption can occur, so there is an integrity system that provides a pathway for complaints about the police force and public sector.

Organisations forming part of the integrity system include the:

  • Victorian Ombudsman
  • Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC)
  • Victorian Inspectorate.

Navigating the integrity system can be time consuming and challenging. That’s why the Victorian Inspectorate listens to the community and aims to help build trust in the integrity system.

The VI Inspector had a conversation during Law Week about Victorian Inspectorate’s unique role in Australia to help provide a voice for those interacting with organisations like the Ombudsman and IBAC. Watch the presentationExternal Link .
